University of Oviedo is one of the oldest universities in Spain. Founded in 1504, is a medium-big institution with circa 30.000 students and 2000 professors and researchers. With several Campus in three universities, it provides research and studies in the fields of humanities, social and natural sciences and engineering. Mining Dept is devoted to terrain engineering with a strong emphasis in environmental affections, including CO2 absorption, mining remediation, etc. The Project Engineering Research Group is a multidisciplinary transversal group with several fields of research mainly based in sustainable engineering, environmental integration, product design and process design and optimization. With more than 130 international, national and local projects as well as contracts with companies in the last 10 years, the group is one of the most directly linked to industry.
Main Tasks attributed under Work Packages:
Task 2.3 - Legal review: environmental analysis including life cycle assessment, risk estimation and mitigation.
WP 4: environmental factors affecting penetration of techniques. Synergy identification and innovative designs from a technical and non-technical point of view.
